Opening of the Academic Year
− 0 min readOn 2 September, the new academic year was inaugurated at the theatre on the Vrijthof. The place fitted the meeting’s core message.
University Maastricht, Chairman Martin Paul elucidated, aims to be an open, societal-oriented and inclusive university. Different ways can lead to that goal. The study of gravitational ways, for instance, relies on the region’s stable soil. Paleontologists dig into the earth. Marieke Hopman, winner of 2017/2018 prize for action research, got the opportunity to announce MPCER, and its mission: bringing together researchers from diverse disciplines with stakeholders interested in Community-Engaged Research.
